I left my Stomach in San Francisco

The title of the post should already give you a hint at how part of the trip turned out. It all started out with a 6 and change hour plane ride from JFK to Oakland Airport which wasn’t that bad at all. I had a Direct Tv Monitor of my own with 35 channels to watch as I embarked on my West Coast Journey to pass some time. Got to Oakland no problem which might I add there Airport is 100 times cleaner then smelly JFK airport, to be picked up by Lisa’s friend Jean. Then we learned we were headed straight for Sonoma Valley for some wine tasteing. Let’s back track for a second, I woke up at 4:30am which i only fell asleep for bout an hour that night then got on a plane ride and slept for a total of an hour maybe at best .. and now I’m heading out to wine country which of course is the only way B.C. does it. lol. Me being a connoisseur of $1 bud light 24oz’s I have to say I held my own in wine country. Hey! I watched the movie “Sideways” .. i know a thing or two about wine (yeah, right). After swishing my way through all types of wine styles and smelling my way thru glass after glass of wine tasteing .. it was pretty sure to say that after 4 wineries I was buzzed. (Ledson, Chateau St. Jean, Schug) Time for Dinner. We ate at a place that the name escapes me as i write this but it was not no Quizno’s .. with dish’s of stuff I would never eat on a regular basis. Still the food was amazing as we did the group thing where everyone tried a little bit of everything which was very cool since everyone got a taste of every dish. Oh and wine on top of dinner. To show you how much wine we really consumed .. someone made a trip to the side of the restaurant to feed the plants some dinner and wine.. lol lisa. After that we headed out to the bars. I would be right to say that everyone was feeling a little bit of tipsy.. and was ready for some bar drinks. We pull up to the first bar (kareoke bar) and get some drinks there .. I broke out the Dave Chappelle dance .. then we had to leave and go to a better bar. I believe the name was EastSide West .. for even more drinks. Couple of Jager Shots and Soco/Lime shot’s it was time for B.C. to bow out for the night. No more then a block away I shared my delicious dinner .. wine tasteings .. bud light and not to forget last in shots .. all over the floor of someones driveway. I don’t know why Lisa and Jean didn’t take a picture of something that only happens maybe once, at most twice a year .. me pukeing. Somehow Lisa and Jean got me home where I passed the fuck out. Wake up Saturday to have breakfest at Doug and Tracy’s apartment, which might i add was an amazing apartment. Very open and just the style was amazing .. I really liked there apartment. Breakfest hit the spot .. then went back to Jean’s apartment for a well deserved nap before Doug’s 30th b-day party. Fast Forward to Saturday Night .. where the party was held at the buddha-something. It was a sit-down dinner outside on there like pool-garden area where it was an amazing atmosphere. Dinner was not bad at all, I actually had some of a dish called “Drunken Noodles” which is just like spicey noodles and stuff, it was really good. Had to call it an early night Saturday .. I was so out of it. Sunday came around and that is where we had the worst weather, for all of Friday and Saturday it was beautiful .. you couldn’t ask for better weather .. then Sunday came and so did the rain. It wasn’t that bad, but still I think we could of gotten more accomplished if it had been another beautiful day. We went down to Fishermans Wharf .. basically the piers. I got to see Alcatraz from the closest distance you can without actually being there from the pier. Alcatraz was sold out for the day which sucked because I would of really liked to see it. We walked up and down the Pier .. stopped at In-n-Out burger which was also one of the to-do’s for the trip .. which can be compared to Long Islands All-American. The burger was good and the Fries were really really good because they actually make them in-house outta fresh potato’s which you could tell the difference. After that we took a trip over to the Ripley’s believe it or not thing they have there which was pretty cool for only $12 a pop. This is where I’m confused, we stopped at a Hooters on the pier to have a few wings .. we walk in there were more girls working then guy customers. Now where is the logic in putting a HOOTERS in San Francisco .. one of the gayest if not the most gayest city in the United States? They definitely had there A squad on too .. but its just wierd to me .. whoever owns that store really didnt’ put much thought into it I guess. Why not call it Cock’s and throw a buncha dudes in there and sell hot dogs? .. i don’t get it.
Well I got to see another cool thing while sight seeing on Sunday .. Lombard Street. Which claims to be the United States most crooked’est street, in my opinion .. is fuckin insane. First of all, these mountains these people call streets are insane. The reason there are no fat people in San Fran, is because people are constantly working out just walking up the god damn street .. I’m not in the worst shape but damn some of these inclines are ridiculous. Well it was pretty cool seeing the crazy street. That is pretty much the extent of the trip .. I just want to say thank you for everyone who had us there .. it was amazing and I had a time I will never forget. My first time out on the West Coast was really a great trip :) .. hope to go back soon :)
